Elie Homsi
Elie Homsi, a 40-year industry veteran, Parsons senior vice president and holder of multiple patents, has made numerous contributions to the development of complex construction technologies in the Americas, Middle East and Asia.
His contributions to construction engineering include means and methods development, temporary works, constructability reviews, pricing, project phasing and planning, and scheduling. He led the development of the Parsons Asset Data and Information Management (ParADIM™) system, which integrates BIM and digital twinning to manage the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects. His work has significantly impacted major projects worldwide, including THE LINE, the largest project undertaken in history.
Homsi is chairman emeritus of Bridges to Prosperity, a nonprofit that builds footbridges across impassable rivers so that isolated communities have access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.
He has also been a key leader in many professional organizations, serving on committees for the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineers (IABSE), and as president of the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI). He co-authored the ASBI Construction Practices Handbook and Bridge Deck Erection Equipment.
In 2008, Engineering News Record recognized him as a “Top 25 Newsmaker.” Homsi was inducted in 2018 to the National Academy of Construction.
